A B S T R A C T

Post appendicectomy similar pain and tenderness in right iliac fossa was detected in 82 cases from 468 appendicectomy patients in the period of 1982 to 1986.  In 74 cases lymphoid hyperplasia was evident on histopathology study.  All cases were treated by antibiotics. Out of 82 cases 18 cases did not respond to the treatment. They were submitted to the exploratory laparatomy. Out of 18 cases 16 cases were explored, local excision of remnant of the appendix along with partial caecectomy was done.

Back ground:- There are many anatomical defects in rectal prolapse but non adherence of the rectum to the sacrum or coccyx has significant role. There is consensus opinion about efficiency of suture rectopexy either by laparotomy or laparoscopy.

ABSTRACT

Modified  appendicectomy was performed f or acute appendicitis in One hundred fifty cases consecutively. Complete appendieeal removal was achieved by excision of core of the caecum along with it. The caecum was closed in two layers directly. These cases were treated pre and post operatively in same respect, of routine appendicectomy,
